A significant portion of our work involves restoring and renovating bicycles belonging to our customers. We strip bikes down to their components and work on each in turn - cleaning and servicing those parts that are to be retained; replacing anything that is missing, damaged, worn, or inappropriate.
The alignment of the frame is checked, and corrected where necessary. If the frame requires refinishing, we offer enamelling and chroming services; if there are dents or cracks in the tubing we have them filled or tubes replaced. If the frame does not require refinishing we clean and polish it, applying a new coat of lacquer if appropriate.
We consult with the customer over any changes they wish to make to the set up of their bike - whether that means an adjusted riding position, a wider range of gears, or a more integrated way to transport luggage. We advise as to the best way to achieve the desired outcome, and supply and fit the parts, or make the necessary adjustments and changes, to facilitate this.
This sort of work is bespoke by nature, so jobs are priced individually. We are very happy to provide an estimate by email if you send us a few photos of the bike and a little bit of information about the work you want to have done.
